Discover Zambia at its wildest on an exclusive 11-day photographic journey through two of the country’s most remarkable wildlife heaven: South Luangwa’s Nsefu Sector and the vast, remote wilderness of Kafue National Park. Designed for passionate wildlife photographers, this limited expedition, restricted to only 5 guests offers intimate access to pristine landscapes, exceptional wildlife encounters, and carefully curated comfort.
ZAMBIA
What makes this safari truly special is the privileged access to the Nsefu Sector, one of the oldest and least-visited areas of South Luangwa. Only a handful of small lodges are allowed to operate inside the sector, which means very few tourists ever enter this part of the park. Because we stay inside Nsefu, we also have the rare advantage of conducting evening and night drives, when predators are most active. This is a key reason why Nsefu is known as “Leopard Valley”, home to some of the highest leopard densities recorded in Africa.
The area’s unique wildlife behavior has drawn the attention of major broadcasters for decades BBC crews have filmed several of their iconic wildlife documentaries here, capturing intimate and dramatic moments that are rarely seen elsewhere. This combination of exclusivity, low vehicle pressure, and exceptional predator activity makes Nsefu one of the most rewarding photographic destinations in Zambia.
With premium boutique camps, private guides, exceptional cuisine, and seamless logistics, including an internal flight, this safari is crafted to let you focus entirely on creating powerful images and immersing yourself in the atmosphere of the African bush.
From the quiet, predator-rich riverbanks of Nsefu to the expansive plains and waterways of Kafue National Park, every day brings new photographic opportunities, unhurried moments, and the privilege of exploring truly wild places.
This is a carefully designed, high-end photographic experience, ideal for travelers who appreciate exclusivity, comfort, and meaningful encounters with nature.

To best capture the details and essence of these fascinating animals, we recommend using SLR, mirrorless, or bridge cameras, equipped with lenses between 200mm and 600mm. This range of focal lengths will allow you to obtain sharp, well-proportioned images!
We will shoot primarily from our jeep, which we will use as a stable support for still images. No tripod is necessary; instead, we recommend using a bean bag (please contact the organizers for more information).
During this trip, you will have the assistance of an experienced professional photographer who will assist you in optimizing the use of your photographic equipment.
Our photographer will be present to offer personalized advice and help you maximize the potential of your camera and lenses. You will have the opportunity to learn advanced techniques in composition, light control, camera settings, and more.
Pack lightweight long-sleeved shirts to protect against the sun, dust, and insects, along with a couple of short-sleeved shirts and moisture-wicking T-shirts for hot afternoons. Bring two pairs of long safari trousers made from quick-dry or rip-stop material and, if possible, convertible pants that zip off at the knee. A light pair of shorts can be worn around the lodge or camp.
Temperatures in Zambia can drop during early morning and evening game drives, so include a fleece jacket, a light insulated jacket, and a windbreaker. A scarf or buff is helpful for dust protection, and thin gloves are useful for handling metal camera gear during cold mornings. Sun protection is essential, so pack a wide-brimmed hat, polarized sunglasses, and sunscreen.
For footwear, bring comfortable closed-toe hiking shoes that are breathable and supportive, plus sandals for relaxing at the lodge. To reduce insect bites, wear long sleeves and long trousers at dusk and consider clothing treated with insect repellent.
As a photographer, carry a neutral-colored scarf or cloth to protect your camera from dust, and a small waterproof jacket if you’re visiting during the rainy season (November–April). For evenings at camp, bring comfortable casual clothing and a light fleece. If traveling during the cool season (May–August), add a thermal layer, warm socks, and a beanie because mornings can be very cold.
Overall, focus on comfort, neutral tones, protection from sun and insects, and warm layers for early and late drives.
